Dae Yull Yoo

Dae Yull Yoo, Photographer

Born in South Korea, he is also Vice President of Seol Won Foundation (SWF), headquartered in Larchmont, New York, its studio at mid-town, New York City. He takes photos of embroidery, embroiderers and events for the Foundation. 

He is inspired by the beauty and diverse nature at Larchmont. His main artistic focus is capturing natural scenes in the area.

His published work includes a portrait of Dr. Young Yang Chung, renowned textile historian and embroiderer; Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SWF; Founder and Director of Chung Young Yang Embroidery Museum at Sookmyung Women's University in Seoul, Korea; trustee, Freer/Sackler Galleries at Smithonian Institution and author of critically acclaimed "Silked Threads."  Mr. Yoo's is work appears in Wikipedia. 

The portrait is also credited to Mr. Dae Yull Yoo in the book , "(in) So Many Words," written by John E. Vollmer, published in 2019.  Mr. Vollmer -- in addition to being a consultant to museums, universities and cultural agencies -- is internationally-recognized as curator and scholar in the fields of Asian art and textiles.
